It is sometimes quite hard to be away from everything you know, and all the people that you love, and its something Aaron, Marty and I all struggle with from time to time.
But on June 13th we got a little piece of home that came to visit. My good friend, Sarah Van Putten flew to Joberg, SA and took a bus to meet us in Swaziland. And she is here for an entire month! She also came bearing gifts from family and friends back home - among the highlights, fruitcake for Aaron, new flip flops for Marty, SOCKS for me! PLUS Marty’s replacement drivers license that had been stolen back in South Africa. Her presence here plus great little gifts is amaaaazing! She has been walking half days with us and spending time with Marty in the Land Rover as well; pitching in and getting dirty and sleeping on the ground. :-) She’s a rockstar.
Thanks Sarah for being here and putting up with us for a whole month! We love you and will miss you when you leave!
