We are super honored to announce that two incredible people have given up their birthdays this month for clean water! Jaime Markham of East Hartford, CT and Rebecca Conner of Carbondale, IL have given up their birthdays this month so that others might have CLEAN WATER! So far they have both raised more than $350 a piece.

Only $20 gives someone clean water for 20 years, so through their birthdays, 35 more people will have access to clean, safe, drinking water.

Way to go guys! Thanks for giving up your birthday so that others might live.

If you’d like to contribute to the birthday campaigns and be a part, please see Jaime’s page here, and Rebecca’s page here.

If you’d like to give up your birthday, or any holiday for clean water, ask us how and we will get you started!

Executive Director of Walk4Water, Amy Russell will be walking across her hometown state of CT as a warm-up walk from July 16-22nd!

Good Deed Day 5 - Turn a Flash Mob event into a blessing!

Flash mobs, an idea normally known for their snowball fights, popular dance moves, and sometimes the adventurous outfits, played out in Manchester, CT a little differently. Steve Nielson, a local church music director decided he wanted to bless the community and spread the love of Jesus this Christmas season, using a flash mob! As he stared advertising through emails and facebook, the event grew and grew.

By December 12th, the masses were ready for action.  Best guess at attendance by Nielson is around 600.

One of the store managers said, “It was probably the most impressive thing I’ve ever seen. It was very loud, but in a good way. It was a beautiful sound.”

Dubbed as a “Random Act of Christianity”; Walk4Water is proud to highlight this story that has touched many lives; the singers and those who have seen it either in person at the mall, on the news, or on youtube.

We’re halfway through our “10 Days of Good Deeds!” Keep sending in your inspirational stories to info@walking4water.org to get featured on our blog! Check back for other ways people are making a difference this year and Christmas season!
